Presidentâs Message
I am proud to be a part of this wonderful community that has very graciously accepted me as president for the year 2025.My association with college activities goes back to to the year 2004,when a fresh senior registrar became the assistant secretary of the Sri Lanka Association of Rheumatology and Medical Rehabilitation.I learnt from the conduct of accomplished consultants; my trainer Dr.Lilani Weerasekera and Dr.Lalith Wijayaratne who were my rock and compass.It was at this point of time that the association obtained membership of the APLARwith the support of Dr.Pispsati. On return from my overses training, I was the co-editor of the college for four years.

Rheumatology is definitely one of the most exciting medical specialties, with the many advances we have already seenâand will continue to seeâthat will beneficially impact patients. It is simply rewarding for all of us,to be part of the dynamic specialty that is rheumatology.
